Joni Haastrup is considered as one of the enigmatic pioneers of Afro Funk. In 1978 the Sierra Leonean produced Wake Up Your Mind as his solo debut, laced with funk basslines, swirling keyboards and screaming guitars this record is considered an Afro-Funk classic.
