Efie Gallery’s hybrid approach to visual art and music continues with the expansion Rekord Gallery, an exquisitely designed hidden listening space featuring Hi-Fi 360° audio. This space houses the gallery’s permanent collection of over 2,000 original vinyl and shellac records, dating from the 1940s to today, displayed across 32 meters of wall shelving. In addition, it will host rotating exhibitions from guest record collectors.

A few recent acquisitions to the collection include important records such as: Ebo Taylor - Twer Nyame (1978), Oum Kalthoum - Alf Laila Walaila (1969), Soliman Gamil - Prism Music Unit (1973), Brainticket - Celestial Ocean (1973), Ben Harper - The Will To Live (1997) and many others.
