Betty Acquah (born c. 1965) is one of the few consistent Ghanaian female artists, she has painted for over 20 years, utilizing the rarepointillism technique which has become her signature. Acquahis also known for her water colour works which are few and far in between, often with the ‘female’ and ‘movement’ being the central themes.
Acquahhas an MFA (painting)from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. She also lived in Japan a few years where she studied at the Tokyo School of Art. Her water colours bear the influence of her time in Japan. She has exhibited her paintings in Ghana, Nigeria, UK, India, Germany, Spain, Japan and USA
